Great book!! It can be used as a guide to build any type of RV from a teardrop to a fifth wheel and more. Granted there are so many different ways to build an RV that a single book couldn't cover it but this book comes close. It covers every aspect of building including chassis, tires, frames, electrical, heating , potable gray black water, this book has a lot of guidance.

There is a lot of good info here for those wanting a DIY camper. While I'm not sure about building my own at this time, I wanted to know about certain aspects of the build, and this book has a lot of information and pictures in it. The price was right for this level of manual.

About the Author

Dr. Jay Ameratunga has been a practising civil engineer for over 35 years specialising in geotechnical engineering. After graduating from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya in Sri Lanka, he obtained his Masters at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, and obtained his PhD from Monash University, Australia. Early part of his career was spent in Sri Lanka before joining the Coffey Group in 1989. He has been involved with the investigation, design and construction of many major projects, especially in Australia and New Zealand, including the Gateway Upgrade Project and the Future Port Expansion Seawall Project in Brisbane, and the State Highway 16 Project in Auckland. He works closely with universities on major research projects and mentors PhD students and young engineers. He has also been a visiting lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. He has co-authored close to 50 technical papers on soft clay, reclamation and ground improvement and has presented in conferences in Australia, New Zealand and at other international venues. He is a Past Chair, Australian Geomechanics Society, Queensland Division, a member of the Australian Standards Committee for Geosynthetics and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Dr. Nagaratnam Sivakugan received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, with First Class Honours, and M.S.C.E and Ph.D. from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. His writings include five books, 110 refereed international journal papers, 75 refereed international conference papers, and more than 100 consulting reports. As a registered professional engineer of Queensland and a chartered professional engineer, he does substantial consulting work for the geotechnical and mining industry in Australia and overseas, including the World Bank. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Australia. He has supervised 13 Ph.D. students to completion at James Cook University, Queensland, Australia, where he was the Head of Civil Engineering from 2003 to 2014.

Dr. Braja Das is Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Sacramento. He received his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa and his Ph.D. in the area of Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is the author of a

number of geotechnical engineering texts and reference books and has authored more than 250 technical papers in the area of geotechnical engineering. His primary areas of research include shallow foundations, earth anchors, and geosynthetics. He is a Fellow and Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Life Member of the American Society for Engineering Education, and an Emeritus Member of the Chemical and Mechanical Stabilization Committee of the Transportation Research Board of the National Research Council (Washington D.C.). Dr. Das has received numerous awards for teaching excellence, including the AMOCO Foundation Award, the AT&T Award for Teaching Excellence from the American Society for Engineering Education, the Ralph Teetor Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers, and the Distinguished Achievement Award for Teaching Excellence from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Just received this book. It was delivered in a minion box, which is a plus. It already put a big smile on my face when I opened the mailbox.A great book with tons of illustrations; quality paper, thick and smooth ; a lot of behind scene explanation involving film making and character creation.I could not stop turning the pages. A must have if you are a Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli fan. This is the fast time I ever write a review about a product, within 10 minutes after opening up the package. I cannot wait to share with other fans. Please see my attached photos for your reference.

This was a gift for a granddaughter for Christmas. When she opened this she yelped and hugged it to her chest!!! On her wish list for us was "anything to do with movie "Spirited Away." I will take an educated guess she rates this with five stars! She is in drama in school so was esp excited to see the full screen play in the back.

For a art book it has all the standards you expect. Comes with Disney release script in back, plenty of luscious watercolor prints. What is annoying and is true of any art book from Anime from Japan, the US companies may translate all the major stuff in the art books like the articles explaining things, but no one ever bothers to translate the little notes under the conceptual sketches. To me those would be the most fascinating thing, but here I sit with a cell phone taking a picture of the Japanse kanji and using google translate. When I first started buying artbooks, Google and google translate didn't even exist, and yet US companies like VIZ, Dark Horse, Tokyopop(defunct) never translated those little blurbs. But, its a nice addition to my art book collection.

I love this movie and the book captures that beauty. It has screenshots from the movie that make you appreciate how much effort went into it. Normally, when you watch a movie, the images go too fast to really appreciate them. But this book lets you take the time and look at all of the details that the artists put into it. I also enjoy the line art of the animations that the book has. The only thing that I wish this book had was more behind the scenes in how they created the movie. It would've really opened my eyes to the amount of effort that occurs during production.

This is a really cool book, especially for the price. Very high quality paper and overall materials. A must have for any spirited away fan. I will say, there are more still images in the film than I would've liked, but overall its awesome. Any students studying film or screenplay writing or directing should really get this. It has the script in the very back printed on paper like a script is, not glossy; and implements how they put that into film. Really cool book overall I would highly reccommend but since I am an art student I definately wish there were more drawings like the picture on the front, even though there are about 100 already!

Beautiful and packaged well! I bought this as somewhat of a "picture book" to show my little one, but it was just too busy and advanced for him... However, I absolutely loved it! I've always been a big fan of Studio Ghibli and Spirited Away has always been my favorite! Very well depicted here. Great buy!

There's no way this won't please you or any other miyazaki fan. Great, big pictures and artwork, and a good bit of information too. Some of the most incredible coffee table books to ever have. Every now and then I'll crack one open and spend hours going through them!

this is great book for any studio ghibli fans. You can see sketches, what the anime was like at the begining. You cans see different scenes from the movie, with explanations from artists, why had they done each of the scenes the way they are done. Pictures in the book are great in colour. Also at the and of the book, you will find whole script of spirited away, which is quite great add on, which I wasn;t expecting

Rion McKissick Professor of Journalism at the University of South Carolina. Grant is a technology futurist who conducts research, teaches, and writes regarding convergent journalism, media technologies, audience behavior, and media organizational behavior. Grant created the Communication Technology Update and Fundamentals series, The Convergence Newsletter, and the Newsplex Summer Seminars. Good book. Good demonstration of codes. But it lacks to explain the code or example in simple English. Examples are almost reading the code or keywords are explained in a way, only experience person understand. I am taking 1 star for that. Over all very good book with good code example. It also provides scripts to load all the example data in database, which you can follow very easily.

Excellent book to learn and reference later. I like the style of Murach's books: left page with explanation of codes on right page. Concise and easy to look up and allow faster recall of the knowledge. It may not be much helpful for beginners though since beginners need slower learning.

We used Murach's books in my college classes because they make great introductory books. His easy-to-read style gives one page of explanation paired with one page of code examples for each topic. This makes his book a quick reference tool as well. Now, if you need an in-depth discussion of using the language, Murach's books aren't really written for that. Try pairing his intro books with the certification prep books.

This book is really easy to follow for learning PL/SQL I would definitely recommend it for a self starter.

SignatureReviewed by Jonathan SeguraWritten in French by an American, this was the hot book of Frankfurt in 2006 and won two of France's major literary awards. A couple of years and a reported million-dollar advance later, here it is in English. Is it worth the hype and money? In a word, no. Dr. Max Aue, the petulant narrator of this overlong exercise in piling-on, is a rising star in the SS. His career helped along by a slick SS benefactor, Aue watches the wholesale slaughter of Jews in the Ukraine, survives getting shot through the head in Stalingrad, researches and writes dozens of reports, tours Auschwitz and Birkenau, and finds himself in Hitler's bunker in the Reich's final days. He kills people, too, and is secretly gay—a catcher—and tormented by his love for his twin sister, Una, who now rebuffs his lusty advances. He also hates his mother and stepfather. As he claims, If you ever managed to make me cry, my tears would sear your face. But after nearly 1,000 pages, Herr Doktor Aue, for all his alleged coldness and self-hatred and self-indulgent ruminations, amounts to nothing more than a bloodless conduit for boasting the breadth of Littell's research (i.e., a nine-page digression on the history of Caucasian linguistics). The text itself is notable for its towering, imposing paragraphs that often run on for pages. Unfortunately, these paragraphs are loaded with dream sequences marked by various unpleasant bodily functions, a 14-page hallucination where a very Céline-like crackpot cameos as Dr. Sardine and dozens of numbing passages in which SS functionaries debate logistical aspects of the Jewish Question. Also, nary an anus goes by that isn't lovingly descibed (among the best is one surrounded by a pink halo, gaped open like a sea anemone between two white globes). Most crippling, however, is Aue's inability to narrate outside his one bulldozing, breathless register, and while it may work marvelously early on as he relates the troubles of trying to fit the maximum number of bodies into a pit, the monotone voice quickly loses its luster. In the final 200 or so pages, Berlin is burning, the Russians and Americans are making rapid advances, Hitler is nearly assassinated and SS brass are formulating their personal endgames. But, alas, this massive endeavor grinds to its conclusion on a pulp conceit: two German cops, against all odds, are in hot pursuit of Aue for a crime he may or may not have committed.Littell's strung together many tens of thousands of words, but many tens of thousands of words does not necessarily a novel make. Littell opens his Second World War novel, told through the recollections of a German officer named Max Aue, with a breakdown of how many Germans, Soviets, and Jews died, minute by minute, in the conflict. As Aue travels to Stalingrad, Auschwitz, and Hungary to report on morale and efficiency, long sections of bureaucratic analysis alternate with moments of mind-numbing sadism. Aue, a caricature of moral failure (he fantasizes at length about sodomizing his twin sister), encounters a cast of unintentionally comic characters, such as an obese and flatulent proponent of the Final Solution, who surrounds himself with Teutonic beauties. The Holocaust is recast as an extended bout of office politics, with German officials quarrelling over who is responsible for prisoners� hygiene. As the novel draws to a violent close, its story seems nearly as senseless as the horrors it depicts.

Despite being hailed as a new War and Peace in its native France, The Kindly Ones did not fare as well further west, where critics decried it as "Holocaust porn." Unable to let go of any of his research, Littell strings together hundreds of pages of brutally graphic desciptions of the torture and murder of Jews, interrupted only by Aue's grotesque sexual dalliances and frequent bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. A cliched plot, graceless prose, and an awkward translation round out the novel's flaws. By making Aue a monstrous psychopath, Littell completely destroys Aue's value in exploring the moral complexities of ordinary people under the Nazi regime. The only soul-searching readers will do is to understand why they picked up the book in the first place.
